About

Somedays chocolate is my lifeline. The kitchen is my happy place. I love to create....messes and masterpieces. I love my husband and 3 kids something fierce and have the most rewarding yet tiring job as a stay-at-home and homeschooling Momma. I am passionate about all things of motherhood and love the journey it is. I am learning to embrace a life of simple….that’s where the real joy is. I am captivated by God’s grace…real grace. It seeps into the smallest of details of our everyday lives and hopes we notice it. His gifts are all around and I’m determined to notice and embrace it even in the hard…even in the mundane.  I’m just here to share my story...my ‘heart journey’ so to speak. Nothing fancy about this blog. Just real life stuff in the heart of this simple southern Momma.

“When we lay the soil of our hard lives open to the rain of GRACE and let JOY penetrate our cracked and dry places, let JOY soak into our broken skin and deep crevices…LIFE GROWS!” – Ann Voskamp

“The ability to simplify means to eliminate the unnecessary so that the necessary may speak.” Hans Hoffmann
